Shortly before it was announced that ‘The Jungle’ in Calais was to be dismantled, we spoke to Sudanese refugees there and asked them if they had a message that we could take around Europe alongside our performances. Whilst the dismantling of The Jungle was a promising step in the right direction, the refugee crisis still exists, and after the backwards decision of Donald Trump to suspend USA refugee programmes last week, the issue has become worse yet again.

Here are some excerpts from the interviews we recorded. All interviewees gave us permission to disseminate the recordings. We wish them all well and hope they are safe.
